Oat bran comes from the outer layer of the whole oat grain. This nourishing flake has a pleasant nutty flavour and is often overlooked as a versatile and tasty ingredient in the kitchen. It makes a creamy hot cereal, adds a boost of fibre to muffins and breads, can be sprinkled over fruit and yoghurt or even used as a light and fluffy breadcrumb alternative.

Store oat bran in a tightly sealed container in a cool, dark and dry place. To prolong its shelf life, you can also store oat bran in the fridge or freezer. You can cook with oat bran directly out of the freezer - no thawing required!
