Organic Chicken Liver Pâté

Livers are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can get – if you are looking to boost your immune system, look no further than this Vitamin A & D packed pâté.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 Onion
- 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil or Butter
- 400g Bostock Chicken Livers
- 2 Cloves Garlic
- 1 Apple
- 1 Can Coconut Cream Handful fresh Herbs (I use Sage)
- 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
- 1/3 Cup Coconut Oil or 100g Butter
- Salt & Pepper to taste
EQUIPMENT: Blender or food processor
STEPS:
- Roughly chop the onion & throw in the pan with the first measure of coconut oil or butter.
- Leave to simmer for a couple of minutes then add the livers and the apple, roughly chopped with the skin on.
- Add the Garlic, Coconut cream, Nutmeg and remaining butter or coconut oil and herbs.
- Leave to simmer until cooked through.
- Add Salt and Pepper to taste.
- Whizz it up. Enjoy! – Freezes well too.
