Swishing, or oil pulling, is an ancient Ayurvedic mouthwash practice and an essential self-care technique to help heal, nurture, maintain and support good oral health naturally.
Swishing, or oil pulling, means to swish oil around your mouth and pull it through your teeth, over and over again, for up to 20 minutes, during which time the oil is gradually thinned by your saliva. As you swish, the oil detoxifies your mouth by ‘pulling’ bacteria, toxins, plaque, food debris and pathogens from all the surfaces of your mouth, and from in between those hard-to-reach places. Meanwhile, the physical action of swishing helps strengthen your teeth, gums, and jaw, improving skin elasticity and helping to prevent wrinkling around the mouth. Oil pulling also stimulates the production of saliva and dental fluids which is vital for the remineralisation of teeth and gums, which in turn may help prevent cavities.

This product is recommended for ages 14 years and above. Swishing is also recommended where brushing and/or flossing is contraindicated.
